KitchenSync publishes operational guidance for restaurant owners and operators - bookkeeping, payroll, banking, vendor management, and reporting. The content under /blog is written by people who run these workflows every day, reviewed by topic-area experts, and kept current as rules and software change.
Authorship
Each post is bylined by a named author. Author pages show that person's credentials, work history, education, and verified press mentions. We do not publish anonymous bylines or AI-only content. Where AI tools assist a draft, a named author is responsible for the final published version.
Review
Posts that touch financial, tax, payroll, or insurance topics are reviewed
by a second qualified person before they go live. When a reviewer is on
record, that person appears as "Reviewed by …" near the top of the article
and as reviewedBy in the article's structured data.
Sources and Citations
Quantitative claims, regulatory references, and direct quotes link to a primary source where one exists. We prefer first-party documentation (regulatory guidance, official statements, court filings) over secondary reporting.
Corrections and Updates
Each post has a dateModified timestamp. Material corrections
are noted inline. We update posts when underlying rules, software
behaviour, or our own thinking changes - these are not silent rewrites.
Disclosure
Authors disclose business relationships that could reasonably influence a reader. Where an author has a commercial interest in a product or service mentioned (including KitchenSync's own platform), the relationship is called out in the relevant section.
Out of Scope
Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or accounting advice for a specific business. We aim to give operators a working understanding of the mechanics; engage a licensed professional for situation-specific decisions.
