This role combines deep restaurant procurement and operations expertise with hands-on technology leadership. You will use Kit to help restaurant organizations improve purchasing, vendor management, inventory, recipe management, and food and menu costing—helping operators turn better processes and data into measurable improvements in efficiency, food costs, and profitability.

You will work directly with restaurant operators and leadership teams to implement, optimize, and expand their use of Kit. Internally, you will partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, Client Advisors, and Finance to ensure Kit continues to effectively solve the real-world challenges of restaurant procurement and operations.

A key part of the role is also developing KitchenSync’s supplier and procurement ecosystem, using Kit and KitchenSync’s network to create greater purchasing value and better sourcing options for restaurant organizations.

  • Use Kit to help restaurant organizations implement, manage, and optimize these processes across their operations.
  • Advise operators on how to use Kit to improve purchasing practices, control food costs, increase visibility, and create scalable processes across locations.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and translate them into opportunities to improve processes and Kit utilization.
  • Stay current on restaurant purchasing practices, supplier markets, food costs, and industry trends.

Product Ownership & Technology Strategy

  • Own the business requirements and operator experience for Kit’s procurement, inventory, recipe, and costing capabilities.
  • Serve as the bridge between restaurant operators and KitchenSync’s Product and Engineering teams.
  • Translate real-world restaurant workflows and needs into product requirements, enhancements, and new capabilities.
  • Use direct experience with Kit and restaurant operators to identify opportunities to improve functionality, usability, automation, and adoption.
  • Gather and prioritize customer feedback, enhancement requests, and product issues.
  • Support Kit demos, implementations, strategic sales opportunities, and product launches.
  • Serve as the primary voice of the restaurant operator within Product and Engineering.

Supplier Network & Strategic Procurement

  • Develop and expand KitchenSync’s network of qualified suppliers, distributors, and strategic procurement partners.
  • Build preferred vendor programs that provide competitive pricing, quality, service, and reliable fulfillment.
  • Use Kit and KitchenSync’s technology and data to identify sourcing opportunities and improve purchasing decisions.

Cross-Functional & Industry Leadership

  • Partner with Sales and Client Advisors on strategic opportunities, complex customer needs, and adoption of Kit’s procurement capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Finance to connect purchasing and operational data in Kit to food costs, margins, and profitability.
  • Develop training, best practices, and resources that help operators and internal teams get more value from Kit.
  • Bring industry expertise, operator insights, and real-world Kit usage into KitchenSync’s broader product and business strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with restaurant executives, operators, suppliers, and industry partners.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in restaurant operations, procurement, purchasing, F&B management, restaurant technology, consulting, or a related field.
  • Deep expertise in restaurant purchasing, vendor management, inventory, recipes, food costs, and menu costing.
  • Experience working with restaurant owners, operators, chefs, and/or multi-unit restaurant organizations.
  • Strong understanding of how procurement and operational decisions impact food costs, margins, and profitability.
  • Comfortable working deeply within technology platforms and translating restaurant workflows into technology solutions.
  • Ability to use data and technology to identify operational opportunities and drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility with both restaurant operators and technology teams.
  • Experience developing supplier or strategic vendor relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a cross-functional environment.
  • SaaS, ERP, procurement, inventory, or restaurant technology experience is strongly preferred.
